Board of Directors

Dr Ndukwe is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) and Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering, FAEng. He is author of several papers on Utility Regulation, Sector Policy and Business Management. Dr Ndukwe has represented Nigeria at various international events and is a regular resource person at local and international conferences and Seminars. He was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigeria’s Telecommunications Regulatory Agency by the President in 2000 and under his tenure at the NCC, the ICT industry witnessed tremendous growth and transformation, leading to what has been generally referred to as the era of Nigeria’s Telecommunication Revolution. He is currently chairman of Openmedia Group as well as a part time Faculty at the Lagos Business School, LBS, where he heads the Centre for Infrastructure Policy, Regulation and Advancement, CIPRA. He is also on the Board of a few other companies in Nigeria including Access Bank Plc, Systemspecs Ltd and Scanpower Ltd. Dr Ndukwe is a Vice Chairman of the Telecom Development Advisory Group (TDAG) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), representing Nigeria. In April 2014 he was decorated with an ITU Gold Medal Award “in recognition of his important contribution to global Information and communication technologies and to the work of ITU”. He had previously served on the Presidential Committee on job creation as well as Co-chairman of the Presidential Committee that developed the Strategy and Roadmap for universal Broadband Access for Nigeria (2013 to 2018). He currently serves on the National Broadband Council as Vice Chairman, with the Minister of Communications Technology as Chairman. He is founder and President of Broadband Rights Advocacy Network - Africa (BR – Africa), an industry alliance dedicated to the preservation of the right of everyone in Africa to have access to a Broadband Connection. He is a recipient of several professional and civic awards, including the National award of OFFICER OF THE ORDER OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC (OFR), one of Nigeria’s National Honors.

Mr.Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede CON, retired in December 2013 as the Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc. During his tenure the Bank was transformed from an obscure industry player to rank amongst Nigeria’s top 5 banks. Aigboje’s contributions to African Banking have been recognized locally and globally, he has received the prestigious African Banker of the Year and the Ernst & Young West African Entrepreneur of the Year awards and in 2012, he was vested with Nigeria’s “Commander of the Order of the Niger” national honour. He is currently a member of the National Economic Management Team. Aigboje is the current President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and is the founding Chairman of FDMQ OTC. As the Chairman of Friends Africa, a partner organization of the Global Fund to fight HIV, Malaria and Tuberculosis, he led the Gift from Africa campaign which has raised millions of dollars for the Global Fund. He is the Co-Chairman of the Board of GBC Health and is a founding member of the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria. Aigboje qualified as a legal practitioner from the Nigerian Law School Lagos in 1987 and is one of the youngest Nigerians to be awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Mr. A. Ofili-Okonkwo is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and publisher. He is the chairman of Aliban Group of Companies compromising of: Back-Up Systems Ltd; Shrike Back-up Nigeria Limited, Autobhan Techniques Ltd; and Aliban Nigeria Ltd.He sits on the board of the following companies; Interconnect Clearing House Ltd- a telecommunication company; Ocean Tankers, Marine & Logistics Services Ltd- an oil service company; EMI Capital Resources Ltd- Licensed Stock Brokers, Back-up Networks Ltd- an ICT company. As an acknowledged social entrepreneur, Mr. Ofili-Okonkwo is an active proponent of youth empowerment and poverty eradication. He is spear-heading a number of social programmes in conjunction with the Nigerian Government and served in the Presidential Committee on the Harmonization of Federal Agencies between 2004-2005; and the Presidential Review Committee on the World Bank Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Project from 2005-2012. Mr. Ofili-Okonkwo is an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School (Pan African University), and the Institute of Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award of the University of Benin in 1995.

Emmanuel is an Economist, Stockbroker and Banker with over three decades of experience in the Nigerian Economy. After building an impressive banking career in NAL Merchant Bank Limited (Now Sterling Bank Plc) between 1976 and 1986, he led a group of investors to promote Rims Securities Limited (now Lighthouse Asset Management Limited). He was appointed the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Rims Merchant Bank Limited following the promotion of that bank by Lighthouse Asset Management, a post he held until 1994 when he relinquished the executive function to pursue other interests. Mr. Ocholi has been a member of the Council of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, a member of the board of the Investment and Securities Tribunal (IST); and that of the Bank of Industry.

Mr.Afam Edozie is a partner at Grow Africa Equity Partners Limited, a venture capital firm focused on West Africa. Mr.Edozie has for over 2 decades provided business and marketing leadership to several corporate and early stage businesses in Nigeria and the UK. He was the pioneer Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer for MTN Nigeria from 2001 to 2005. He was a co-founder and the Marketing Director of Virgin Biznet (now part of Virgin Media) a start-up chaired by Sir Richard Branson. He has held senior marketing roles at Procter & Gamble and Motorola in the UK. He sits on various boards including, Courteville Business Solutions PLC and Swift Networks Ltd. Since 2006 he has invested in several start-up and early stage businesses in Nigeria, has provided advice to PE firms and served on the board of their investee companies. Mr.Edozie holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and a PG Diploma in Economics and Mathematical Economics from the University of London.

Lai Labode is the founder of Salt & Einstein MTS. Salt & Einstein MTS is Africa's first Mobile Financial Services Aggregator. Lai is a business logic expert with a very extensive knowledge of the African emerging markets. He is mobile finance expert and a serial innovator who has pioneered and developed many winning business models especially across multiple industries in the field of mobile finance. Mr. Labode is the initiator of MoneyBox Africa, the first company to receive approval for mobile money in Nigeria. Lai also initiated the Mobile Micro Credit Platform for goods and services in partnership with Greystone Partners Limited. He studied Corporate Restructuring, Mergers and Acquisitions from Harvard Business School in Boston ,USA and has a degree in Accounting and Law from University of Abuja, Nigeria. Lai is happily married to Ijeoma and is blessed with two boys and a daughter, Salt, Einstein and Rhodium.
